I guess it's innate.

The kids have been fighting about a game they play together, so we sat down to make some "house rules" about how different situations will be handled.  After coming up with a few rules, we were having trouble deciding who would be the "host" each day.  There are a variety of kids who may be playing on any given day, so it's difficult to come up with a fair method of choosing that also evenly distributes the "host" duties.  We talked about lots of different possibilities, when Henry chimed in with his idea.

First, everyone who wants to be the host would go and put their hand on the humidifier.  Whoever leaves their hand on the humidifier the longest gets to be the host.   Henry has "invented" a sweepstakes idea embraced by radio stations everywhere!
