Easter

We went to a very large egg hunt on Easter (something like 1000 eggs and 40 kids, I'd guess). Luke seemed amazed that there were suckers (and lots of other candy) just lying around on the ground! He probably went through 3 in the short time we were there. By the time we got home the kids had eaten enough candy to become sticky messes, so I threw them in the bathtub. When I took Luke out, I told Emmett I was taking him for a nap and asked him to get himself out and dressed. I was tired, so I just stayed with Luke and napped too. David had been feeling sick, so he was on the couch (sleeping?) too.

An hour later when I got up, I asked David where Emmett was. He wasn't sure, so I went to Emmett's room and it was immediately clear why I hadn't heard from Emmett the whole time. He was lying naked on his belly reading a book, with his bucket of Easter candy next to him and candy wrappers all around.

At the first week of their ski lessons, David dropped Emmett and Luke off at their classes.  Yesterday David was starting his class, though, so I took them to their classes.  There are a lot of classes that meet outside, so there are signs up for each class - the big kids meet by letters and the little kids meet by numbers.  Emmett is in class "I" and Luke is in class 11.  The alphabet signs were clearly visible as we approached, but the numbers were behind some trees so I turned to ask Luke which way we should go around them.  Emmett helpfully called out, "See those signs?  My class meets by the one with a single line on it!"  Um, thanks for describing the letter "I" in a way I can understand, Emmett!

Birthday Weekends: Highly recommended!!!!

Birthday Cake #1 came with a crazy candle from my sister Rebecca: The candle actually worked really well! No need to have a fire extinguisher standing by. ") The Anniversary Inn in Salt Lake City has fun themed rooms like this one, the Mysteries of Egypt Suite.  There's a shower head in the snake's mouth, and the tub fills with water that trickles down the rocks off to the side! (it's kind of slow) Rebecca and Andrea upgraded our room to a package that included robes and roses and lots of fun treats. We were very well fed! Birthday Cake #2 matches my headband. We played ring toss with glowing necklaces and my unicorn horn.  Karaoke friends.  Loot!!!
