Emmett and Luke both had "firsts" today - Brighton has one lift, Milly, that's way off to one side that Luke hadn't been to yet (the classes don't go all the way over there). So in the morning they went to Milly so everyone has been on all of the lifts at the resort. And then in the afternoon David convinced Emmett to give Lower Pioneer a try (it's an easy black diamond). Everyone made it down just fine.

Today was probably the last good day of skiing this year - lots of fresh powder and temps near freezing made for good skiing, but the weather is warming up so the next few days will be slushy. Brighton's last day is Easter Sunday, and they have an egg hunt on the bunny hill, so we're planning to go and just have a good time. Who knows how much skiing will be done, but it will be a nice way to end the season.

At the first week of their ski lessons, David dropped Emmett and Luke off at their classes.  Yesterday David was starting his class, though, so I took them to their classes.  There are a lot of classes that meet outside, so there are signs up for each class - the big kids meet by letters and the little kids meet by numbers.  Emmett is in class "I" and Luke is in class 11.  The alphabet signs were clearly visible as we approached, but the numbers were behind some trees so I turned to ask Luke which way we should go around them.  Emmett helpfully called out, "See those signs?  My class meets by the one with a single line on it!"  Um, thanks for describing the letter "I" in a way I can understand, Emmett!

Birthday Weekends: Highly recommended!!!!

Birthday Cake #1 came with a crazy candle from my sister Rebecca: The candle actually worked really well! No need to have a fire extinguisher standing by. ") The Anniversary Inn in Salt Lake City has fun themed rooms like this one, the Mysteries of Egypt Suite.  There's a shower head in the snake's mouth, and the tub fills with water that trickles down the rocks off to the side! (it's kind of slow) Rebecca and Andrea upgraded our room to a package that included robes and roses and lots of fun treats. We were very well fed! Birthday Cake #2 matches my headband. We played ring toss with glowing necklaces and my unicorn horn.  Karaoke friends.  Loot!!!
