At bedtime, Henry was torturing Luke by singing the ABC song over and
over and over again. I took a video and promised to post it if he
promised to stop singing the song in bed. He agreed, so here's the
video.
My sister's husband, Dean, got the most amazing video of our eclipse. We were so very lucky to have thin clouds for most of the period of totality. Jump ahead to 4:25 to hear the crowd as we head into totality.
At the first week of their ski lessons, David dropped Emmett and Luke off at their classes. Yesterday David was starting his class, though, so I took them to their classes. There are a lot of classes that meet outside, so there are signs up for each class - the big kids meet by letters and the little kids meet by numbers. Emmett is in class "I" and Luke is in class 11. The alphabet signs were clearly visible as we approached, but the numbers were behind some trees so I turned to ask Luke which way we should go around them. Emmett helpfully called out, "See those signs? My class meets by the one with a single line on it!" Um, thanks for describing the letter "I" in a way I can understand, Emmett!
Birthday Cake #1 came with a crazy candle from my sister Rebecca: The candle actually worked really well! No need to have a fire extinguisher standing by. ") The Anniversary Inn in Salt Lake City has fun themed rooms like this one, the Mysteries of Egypt Suite. There's a shower head in the snake's mouth, and the tub fills with water that trickles down the rocks off to the side! (it's kind of slow) Rebecca and Andrea upgraded our room to a package that included robes and roses and lots of fun treats. We were very well fed! Birthday Cake #2 matches my headband. We played ring toss with glowing necklaces and my unicorn horn. Karaoke friends. Loot!!!
